How a Burned-Out Cleaner Became a Millionaire Coach (and Found Her Mojo in the Forest)

We’ve all been handed money stories we didn’t ask for.

“You have to work twice as hard to earn half as much.”
“It’s not safe to out-earn your partner.”
“Rich people are selfish.”
“You’re not the kind of person who can make that much.”

These aren’t truths.
They’re hand-me-downs.
And they’ve been shaping your income, pricing, generosity, and stress for years.

It’s time to burn the ones that aren’t yours to carry anymore.

And if you’re craving proof that more is possible without burning out?
We’ve got you.

In this week’s edition of Entrepreneurs Gone Wild, we sit down with Molly Moran, founder of a million-dollar cleaning company and a coaching business that helps other service-based entrepreneurs reclaim their freedom.

She’s living proof that you can build something big without breaking yourself in the process.

And—no surprise—her biggest business breakthrough came during a walk in the woods.

Because the story you carry shapes what you create.
And Molly’s story might just rewrite your own.

She Didn’t Dream of Cleaning Houses

Let’s be honest. Nobody grows up dreaming of running a cleaning company. That wasn’t Molly’s life plan either. But like so many in the home services world, she started out of necessity. Pay the bills, do good work, and maybe—just maybe—build something that didn’t suck the life out of her.

That “maybe” became Green Sweep, an eco-conscious cleaning company based in Albuquerque with 35+ employees and a killer reputation. But it wasn’t always sunshine and lemon-scented surfaces.

Despite the success, she hit the wall. Overworked. Underfulfilled. Wondering if the dream she built was ever going to give her the freedom she’d been chasing.

So she did something radical.

She went outside.

The Bosque Download

It wasn’t a productivity hack. It wasn’t a lead gen funnel. It wasn’t even on her calendar. It was a walk. One simple walk in the Bosque—the forest along the Rio Grande near her home.

She’d gone there before, earbuds in, pounding out miles while catching up on podcasts. Efficient. Multi-tasking. Very on-brand for an entrepreneur.

But something changed. She stopped doing and just was.

“I used to go to the Bosque just to burn calories and learn something. Now I go to connect. And funny enough, that’s when the best ideas started coming.”

Like her ERA initiative—Extreme Appreciation and Radical Accountability. A people-first leadership philosophy that helped stabilize retention in an industry known for nonstop turnover. That idea didn’t come during a team meeting or a strategy session. It came from a quiet walk in the woods.

Funny how that works.

Leadership, but Make It Human

Molly doesn’t pretend to have it all figured out. In fact, that’s what makes her coaching program Live Bright so different. She’s not slapping business bandaids on deeper issues. She’s peeling back layers with her clients—many of whom run home service businesses just like hers.

They're not rookies. These are established owners who’ve hit a plateau. The money’s coming in, but they’re stuck, exhausted, or secretly Googling “exit strategy.” They want out—but what they really want is to feel alive again in their business.

Molly helps them get there.

Live Bright is part business strategy, part life reorientation. It’s goal-setting, systems, leadership skills—and a whole lot of personal development. Because as Molly puts it:

“If you can lead yourself, you can lead your team. And if you can’t lead yourself? You’re going to burn out. Fast.”

Productivity Is a Trap (and She’s Not Buying In)

You know that feeling where you’ve done a hundred things in a day but still feel like you got nothing done?

Molly’s been there too. Her answer?

Stop worshipping at the altar of productivity. Instead, ask better questions. Like:

  • What am I building?

  • Can I sustain this pace?

  • Is this version of success actually working for me?

When she started asking those questions, everything shifted.

She restructured her cleaning company. Streamlined operations. Focused her energy. Delegated more. Built a leadership team that didn’t just put out fires, but prevented them.

And she made space. Literal space. In the forest. On her calendar. In her brain.

“I used to think if I wasn’t constantly producing, I wasn’t doing enough. Now I know space is the secret. That’s when the clarity comes.”

Coaching, with a Side of Permission to Breathe

Molly’s clients come to her because they want their businesses to grow. They want to make more money, hire better people, stop cleaning toilets (literally or metaphorically).

They get all that. But they also get the permission to stop being a martyr for their business.

In Live Bright, there’s a strong current of “you first” energy. She helps clients build structure, set boundaries, create momentum—but in a way that feels like them. Not a clone of someone else’s perfect Instagram life.

She’ll go deep if you’re ready. But she’s also happy to help you fix your pricing model or your hiring funnel. She meets people where they are—but she doesn’t leave them there.

A Million Bright Lights

Molly’s not here for small goals. Her big vision? Help a million entrepreneurs live bright. Through her coaching, podcast, upcoming book (yep, it’s in the works), and every little ripple effect she can spark, she’s working toward that goal.

One conversation at a time.

If you’re ready to get out of burnout and into alignment, Molly’s your girl. Not because she’s got all the answers—but because she’s walked the path and knows where the forks are.

Go connect with Molly Moran. She’s not just talking about it. She’s living it.
