Important update from Entrepreneurs Gone Wild

Exciting things are happening here

It’s been a minute, but we’re BACK!!

Update on the homesteading and retreat center

On March 29th when we moved to the 35-acres here at Idyllwild Woods Retreat Center, there was a barn, and that’s about it. Well, also a pile of timber leftover from excavation that was 900’x13’x15’.

We knew we had our work cut out for us, even before our feet hit the ground.

But I had no idea how challenging it was going to be to get some writing done. And forget about uploading huge video files on a tethered hotspot!

So, I put the Entrepreneurs Gone Wild newsletter on the back burner for a bit.

And now… we have electricity!!!!!

And sometime soon, we’ll have Starlink for internet service. (Say what you will about Elon Musk, dude has some cool projects! Hubby actually invited him to come for some R&R here - he could probably use it.)

That means… we’re back!

Soon, you’ll be able to watch us build, dig, and grow here (and eventually, there will be chickens, sheep, alpacas, and mini Highland cows) on YouTube.

We’re aiming to start hosting guests in November

We’re about to break ground on the first guest house here! We’ve picked one of the most gorgeous, lush spots on the ridge to build the first geodesic dome. It’ll sit on a big deck in the forest on a carpet of moss, with dappled sunlight coming in through the trees. When I imagine friends like you waking up to hear the birds singing there, I literally get chills.

There’s also a little setup happening on Otter Beach here. It’ll be a screened gazebo with a metal roof, down on the creek, all glamped out with the world’s most comfy camping bed, fairy lights, mosquito netting, and a fire pit. Should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Some folks have asked how they can be part of the project and support it. I think I’ve come up with a very cool way - will share soon!

What’s new with Entrepreneurs Gone Wild

The newsletter’s getting tweaked, I’ll be building the website, and the FB community is becoming be a hopping place. (If you haven’t introduced yourself and your business in the group, today would be a great day! Plus, bonus points for pics of you enjoying nature.) Here’s the link.

I also had a major epiphany about Entrepreneurs Gone Wild while working with Stacey Lauren (host of the Do The Thing podcast and founder of the Audience Accelerator)…

Here, I’d originally thought the purpose was to shoo you outdoors to go enjoy some nature time…

But that’s not quite it. You ALREADY know getting outside is not just good for you, not just a great way to think your most brilliant ideas. You ALREADY know - or at least suspect - that prioritizing time outdoors beats the pants off of relegating that time to “after” you _________ (fill that in however you like) because you can get that _________ accomplished faster, easier, and with tons more inspiration IF you let it percolate as you spend time in nature first.

Now, I get it that YOU GET IT! So, I want to help knock out everything that keeps you from being able to go do the thing you already want to do.

Got some ideas brewing that will free you up to get outside without that nagging little voice that says your whole business will fold if you’re not indoors, on screens, pulling the levers to keep it going.

You’re going to love this…

If you’ve noticed your FB reach shrinking, it’s not your imagination. Yay, algorithm! Three things are unavoidable in life: death, taxes, and algorithm changes.

That’s why I’ve invited Theresa Taylor of Productive & Profitable to join us LIVE tomorrow 7/23 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern in the group. She’s got a simple fix for that!

Theresa is a dynamic business coach and strategist who balances homeschooling, supporting her wildlife photographer husband, and leading faith-based entrepreneurs to success.

She'll tell her story, share invaluable insights on overcoming roadblocks, achieving $5K months within six months, and how nature plays a pivotal role in her strategy and inspiration.

Don't miss this chance to learn how to turn confusion and overwhelm into clarity and profitability - so you can enjoy your outdoors time without that sinking feeling that you should be inside working all the livelong day!

Thank you.

For being here. For reading. And most of all, for being one of the amazing humans out there truly SERVING people and making the world a better place.

I’ve missed you, and I’m excited for what we’re going to create TOGETHER!

xoxo
